Eligibility

Enrollment Requirements & Standards

To ensure student success within our virtual program, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Proven Achievement Students must demonstrate prior academic success via an official final report card or transcript.
• Grade Level Accuracy For grades 3–5, students must be at an age-appropriate grade level.
• Assessment & Testing Standards Virtual students are required to participate in all state and local assessments. Our office will request official STAAR and End-of-Course (EOC) scores from previous campuses; however, the following requirements apply:
  • General: Students must have completed all applicable state assessments for the current academic year.
  • Grades 5–8: Students must provide 2026 STAAR assessment results.
  • High School: Students must provide results for all required 2026 EOC exams taken to date and remain on track for a four-year graduation timeline.
• Conduct & Virtual DAEP Students must be in "good standing" to enroll in the standard virtual program. However, students in grades 6–12 with incomplete disciplinary placements are eligible for Virtual DAEP.
  
  

Note: While our administration will coordinate the retrieval of official testing data from previous schools, enrollment remains contingent upon the verification of all required assessment records.

Applicants must be current Texas residents and provide the following:

• Proof of Residency: A utility bill (gas, electric, or water) from the last 60 days, or a current mortgage statement/annual lease agreement.
• Proof of Age: An official birth certificate.
• Parent/Guardian ID: A government-issued photo ID (Driver's License or State ID) that matches the address provided in the enrollment documents.

If any of the following apply, please have the documentation ready prior to your enrollment conference:

• Advanced Placement: If requesting a course above the student's age-based grade level or an Advanced course, an Academic Services Counselor will reach out for further history and testing scores.
• Student Services: To ensure proper placement, please provide documentation for any previous services, including IEP, 504, ELL, or Gifted and Talented programs.
• Custody Orders: If legal guardianship is determined by the court, a copy of the official order is required.

In compliance with Texas law, all students must provide evidence of required vaccinations before attending or transferring to CTIA.

• Exemptions: Families seeking an exemption for reasons of conscience or religious belief must submit an official signed affidavit from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). This affidavit is valid for two years.
