Welcome to Central Texas Innovation Academy (CTIA), a tuition-free Texas virtual school serving eligible students in grades 3-12 . CTIA combines the flexibility of online learning with access to certified teachers, dual credit opportunities, career and technical education pathways, and extracurricular activities.
We understand that a traditional classroom setting is not the best fit for every student. Some families need a flexible schedule to accommodate athletics, travel, work, or other commitments. Others are looking for a learning environment where students can learn from home while remaining connected to a public school community. CTIA provides that flexibility while maintaining strong academic expectations and meaningful opportunities for college and career preparation.

Student Support System
- Certified Texas Teachers: Students learn from Texas-certified teachers who provide instruction, feedback, and support throughout the school year. Our educators are experienced in online learning and work closely with students and families to help them stay on track and achieve their goals.
- TEKS-Aligned Excellence: CTIA's curriculum follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards established by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Students receive a Texas public school education that prepares them for graduation, college, career training, or military service.
- Credit Recovery Opportunities: Students who need to recover credits can stay on track for graduation through flexible, mastery-based coursework. Our program allows students to earn needed credits while continuing to build the knowledge and skills required for long-term success.
College and Career Readiness
- Dual Credit and Early College Opportunities: CTIA students have access to CCISD's Dual Credit and Early College programs, allowing eligible high school students to earn college credit while completing their high school coursework. Through these programs, students may graduate with both a high school diploma and an Associate Degree. Students can also pursue industry-recognized certifications that help prepare them for future education and career opportunities.
- 45+ Career & Technical Education (CTE) Pathways: Students can explore more than 45 Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways in fields such as business, marketing, digital media, agriculture, health science, and criminal justice. These programs help students develop real-world skills while exploring potential career interests before graduation.
- Flexible Access to Hands-On Learning: Students who live within CCISD attendance boundaries may have opportunities to participate in specialized hands-on CTE courses, extracurricular activities, and other programs offered on a physical campus while continuing their online learning experience through CTIA.

*CTIA and Copperas Cove ISD collaborates with Coastal Bend College, our higher education partner, to offer college credit hours, college certificates and degrees, while saving families hundreds of thousands of dollars in tuition and fees.
